A grouping of five German medals and awards, consisting of:
1. A War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwertern). Constructed of bronzed zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and crossed swords piercing through the center, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, marked “100” on the ring for manufacture by Wächtler & Lange of Mittweida, supplied by a slightly discolored period original ribbon, measuring 48.2 mm (w) x 48.3 mm (l), weighing 21.25 grams.
2. A War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwertern). Constructed of bronzed zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and crossed swords piercing through the center, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, marked “55” on the ring for manufacture by J.E. Hammer & Söhne of Geringswalde, without ribbon, measuring 48.1 mm (w) x 47.9 mm (l), weighing 20.00 grams.
3. A War Merit Cross Second Class (Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, on ring for suspension but without ribbon, measuring 48.1 mm (w) x 47.6 mm (l), weighing 16.84 grams.
4. A Cross of Honour of the German Red Cross, Type III (Verdienstkreuz um das Deutsche Rote Kreuz). Two-piece construction in silvered bronze and white, black, and pebbled red enamles, on a horizontally pierced ball and ring for suspension from its period original lady’s-style ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse with a large enameled red cross within a white enameled ring, with a black enameled eagle fastened to the centre clutching a wreath with a central swastika, the reverse lightly textured and inscribed “Für Verdienste um das Deutsche Rote Kreuz” (For Service for the German Red Cross), unmarked, measuring 39.0 mm in diameter, weighing 19.78 grams.
5. A Friedrich-August Cross (Friedrich-August Kreuz). Instituted September 24th 1914. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of blackened bronze, consisting of a Cross Pattée with laurels in the quadrants between the arms, the obverse inscribed “FA” (Friedrich August) in capital letters within the central medallion, with the crown of Oldenburg on the top arm and the institution date “1914” on the bottom arm, the reverse plain, on a fixed loop and ring for suspension from its period original ribbon, measuring 38.4 mm (w) x 38.5 mm (l), weighing 23.18 grams.
