Germany, Third Reich. An Honour Cross Of The World War 1914/1918, With Award Document To Otto Sinner, C. 1935

(Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918). An iron cross paty constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse centre bears the dates “1914 1918” encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, two upwards facing crossed swords lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and unmarked, with loop for suspension on a red, black and white striped ribbon with metal backer and horizontal pinback,, measuring 37.76 mm (w) x 41.68 mm (h), weighing 24.3 grams, very fine.

An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 Award Document, on cream-coloured paper, awarded to the metalworker Otto Sinner in Bremen on 1 May 1935. The document is numbered “Nr. 31809 / 3”, stamped with the seal of the Free Hanseatic State of Bremen police headquarters and signed. Presenting two folding creases, with minimal creasing at the edges and minimal discolouration. Measuring 211 mm (w) x 149 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
