(Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, Stoffausführung). A German Cross in Gold, cloth version, the obverse consisting of a double-overlaid eight-pointed starburst with a dark navy blue wool base with dark grey and silver aluminum wire rays, with a central white rayon embroidered disc bearing a black mobile swastika trimmed with silver aluminum wire borders, situated within a circular gilded alloy laurel wreath, wrapped in ribbon and joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing an institution date of “1941”, trimmed along both the inner and outer edges with red threaded borders, the reverse retaining an intact paper liner, unmarked, measuring 70 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), a Kriegsmarine-issue award in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition.
