Germany, Federal Republic. A Waffen-SS 12-Year Long Service Award, by Rudolf Souval, Exhibition Example, c. 1970

(SS-Dienstauszeichnung für 12 Jahre). Instituted January 30th, 1938. Post May 1945 manufacture - c. 1970 issue. Constructed of silvered white metal in the shape of a swastika, the obverse with a central oak wreath with internal SS sig runes, the reverse inscribed “Für Treue Dienste in der SS” in capitalized lettering, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon featuring dual SS runes embroidered onto the obverse of the ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39.1 mm (w) x 39.3 mm (l), in near mint condition.
