Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, situated over a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four rays and four oak leaves with two acorns, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 96.65 mm (w) x 25.46 mm (h), weighing 31.8 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed black velvet medal bed,  closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 140 mm (w) x 75 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), a fine-quality example privately purchased by a recipient in extremely fine condition.
