Constructed of 8K Gold with enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed tar with red enameled arms, joined through the arms by clusters of oak leaves, bearing a central raised profile of Karl Marx, the reverse pebbled and stamped with a content standard of “333” indicating 8K Gold construction, topped by an integral loop connecting to a period original ribbon affixed to a pentagonal backplate with a locking horizontal pinback, measuring 47.55 mm (w) x 51.00 (h), weighing 45.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon and backplate), accompanied by a matching ribbon bar, similarly constructed of 8K Gold, the reverse marked “333” and featuring a locking reverse horizontal pinback, measuring 28.66 mm (w) x 13.98 mm (h), weighing 7.6 grams, both contained within their original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilded and embossed inscription of “KARL MARX ORDEN”, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed white felt medal bed, unmarked, measuring 10 cm (w) x 15 cm (l) x 2.5 cm (h), demonstrating some oxidation of the award, in overall near extremely fine condition.
