(Sonderabzeichen für das Niederkämpfen von Panzerkampfwagen durch Einzelkämpfer). Instituted March 9th, 1942. Post May 1945 manufacture - c. 1970 issue. Two Tank Destruction Badges consisting of:
1. A Gold Grade “Single-Handed” Tank Destruction Badge, constructed of a gilded aluminum wire base, the obverse trimmed along the top and bottom edges with machine-embroidered black tresses, bearing a central gilded metal Panzer device with both reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, the device measuring 42.0 mm (w) x 17.5 mm (l), the base measuring 68 mm (w) x 28 mm (l), in near mint condition.
2. A Silver Grade “Single-Handed” Tank Destruction Badge, constructed of a silver aluminum wire base, the obverse trimmed along the top and bottom edges with machine-embroidered black tresses, bearing a central patinated metal Panzer device with both reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, the device measuring 43.5 mm (w) x 18.2 mm (l), the base measuring 77 mm (w) x 31 mm (l), in near mint condition.
Footnote: Rudolf Souval was a predominant manufacturer of medals, awards, and badges during the Second World War. Following the end of the war in Europe in May 1945, Rudolf Souval continued manufacturing certain awards using wartime parts and dies for American G.I’s stationed in Europe.
