(Medaille für die Freiwilligen des V. Deutschen Armeekorps) Instituted 21 June 1814. A circular medal constructed of blackened iron with a silver rim, the obverse center bearing seven lances tied together with an oak leaf wreath and ribbons, circumscribed with “Einigkeit macht stark Vaterlandsliebe unüberwindlich” (Together we are stronger Patriotism insurmountable), the reverse bearing the inscription “Den Freiwilligen Vaterland Vertheidigern des Fünften deutschen Armeekorps Vouihrem Kommandirenden General E. H. zu S. 1814” (The Volunteer Fatherland Defenders of the Fifth German Army Corps From her Commander General E. H. to S. 1814), measuring 38.25 mm in diameter, original ribbon, extremely fine.
