A cross pattee constructed of Gold (hollow), with white enameled arms; the obverse with a central blue enameled medallion depicting a Gold crowned cipher of Peter Friedrich Ludwig, surrounded by a Gold ring and a ring of red enamels, inscribed Ein Gott-Ein Recht-Eine Wahrheit (German - One God, One Righteousness, One Truth); the reverse with white enameled arms inscribed with dates, and with a central white enameled medallion depicting the Oldenburg coat of arms; suspended from a hollow Gold crown suspension, with a double Gold loop; suspended from a period original neck ribbon; measuring 49.47 mm (w) x 48.92 mm (h); weighing 28.8 grams; the rear enameled disk slightly loose in its fitting, slight compression of obverse crown; in overall extremely fine condition.
