Württemberg, Kingdom. An Order of the Württemberg Crown, Civil Division Honour Cross, by Eduard Foehr

(Orden der württembergischen Krone Kreuz der Ehrenritter). Instituted 23 September 1818. (1892-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with Gold and multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a gently vaulted Maltese Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms, bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a raised crown, situated within a Gold red enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (“FEARLESS AND LOYAL”), maker marked “FOEHR” for the firm of Eduard Foehr, Stuttgart, measuring 55.64 mm (w) x 55.21 mm (h), weighing 18.2 grams, demonstrating minor flecking to the enamels, a high-quality example in extremely fine condition.
