Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Grand Duchy. A Set of Generalmajor Shoulder Boards

(Mecklenburg-Schwerin Paar Schulterklappen für einen Generalmajor). A set of Mecklenburg-Schwerin Generalmajor shoulder boards, each constructed of green wool with a rigid card stock core and topped by a length of braided silver aluminum wire piping interspersed with yellow, blue, and red chevrons, in turn interwoven with two lengths of gold bullion wire piping, the reverse of each retaining an integral strap perforated with a reinforced buttonhole, both unmarked and measuring 45 mm (w) x 120 mm (l), one strap demonstrating minor mothing to the wool underlay, with both demonstrating soiling and fatigue consistent with age and field wear, a mis-matched set in near extremely fine condition.
