Germany, Imperial. A Wartime Signed Postcard of Fighter Ace Max Immelmann

(Luftstreitkräfte Fliegerass Postkarte mit Unterschrift). A rare signed postcard depicting First World War fighter ace Leutnant (later Oberleutnant) Max Immelmann, in uniform and with an array of decorations including the Pour le Mérite clearly visible, the lower half of the image overlaid by Immelmann’s clear handwritten signature in black ink, the lower right corner bearing a mark indicating the the postcard was issued as part of a series of wartime notable figure images produced by W. Berlin, the reverse in unused postcard format, measuring 85 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), perforated at the bottom with a small hole consistent with previous display, in extremely fine condition.
