(Abzeichen). A mixed Lot of First World War Austro-German Alliance patriotic badges, including: 

1 A large badge, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a crown, and surrounding a disc bearing raised and rightward-facing profiles of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, situated above an inscription of “DEUTSCHE TREUE” (“GERMAN LOYALTY”), the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting  flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A medium badge, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a disc bearing raised and rightward-facing profiles of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, situated above an inscription of “DEUTSCHE TREUE” (“GERMAN LOYALTY”), surrounded by a circular ring featuring 12 cut green glass gems, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 32 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

3. A small badge, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a Cross Pattée with its arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel leaf wreath, overlaid by a central medallion bearing raised and rightward-facing profiles of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, bearing a raised inscription of “WELTKRIEG 1914” (“WORLD WAR 1914”), otherwise unmarked, measuring 24 mm (w) x 24 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
