(Eisernes Kreuz 1914 II. Klasse mit Heer Gürtelschnallen). A mixed lot of items, including:
1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from an original Third Reich-period tri-fold ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o'clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop stamped with the hallmark of a documented but identified manufacturer, measuring 42.68 mm (w) x 46.36 mm (h), weighing 15.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Heer Enlisted personnel belt buckle, constructed of partially-silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS (“GOD WITH US”) and laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. A second Heer Enlisted personnel belt buckle, constructed of brass and magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS (“GOD WITH US”) and laurel branches, the reverse with attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating a patina throughout the base metal and possible modification of the claws, in better than very fine condition.
