Germany, Wehrmacht. A Medals Bar Second World War Service

 A medal bar featuring two decorations, including a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, without visible marks, measuring 47.23 mm (w) x 49.37 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a Finnish Order of the Cross of Liberty, IV Class, constructed of iron with silver and gilt, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon pinned with combatant’s device, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse overlaid by a narrow-armed gilded swastika, bearing a central silvered rose, the reverse bearing a central stamped date of “1941”, unmarked, measuring 38.61 mm (w) x 42.35 mm (h), demonstrating wear to the base metal resulting in some loss of gilt and silver finish, in very fine condition, both suspended from a 70 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a horizontal pinback and field-grey wool liner, unmarked, in near extremely fine condition, accompanied by a matching ribbon bar, with a magnetic metal core and horizontal pinback, measuring 30 mm in length, in extremely fine condition.
