In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Schirmmütze für Mannschaften der Versuchskompanie/Kraftfahr-Bataillon). A very well-preserved Motorized Troops visor cap, constructed of black wool. It features reinforced side walls fully lined on the exterior with an identical black wool cap band, and with red wool piping trimming both the top edge of the cap band and outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the peak is an Imperial tri-colour cockade consisting of blackened and silvered aluminum with a red wool centrepiece, measuring 23 cm in diameter. Also pinned onto the centre of the cap band is an additional cockade constructed of silvered aluminum with a pale green felt centrepiece, similarly measuring 23 mm in diameter. Completing the exterior features is a protruding vulcanfibre visor, finished in black on the obverse and in brown on the reverse. A black leather sweatband surrounds the interior, which is also fully encompassed by a pale blue oilcloth liner. The crown bears the remnants of a “DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIE” mark which is flanked by partially-legible manufacturer or retailer stamps appearing to read “PETER RABUS”. Notably, the sweatband folds down to reveal a paper label bearing a handwritten owner’s name. The cap measures approximately 25 cm (w) x 26 cm (l) x 12 cm (h). Minor material fatigue consistent with age and field use is visible to the base material and interior liner, but this owner-attributed example remains in a near extremely fine condition.
