1. A colour postcard commemorating the day Hindenburg swore in AH as Chancellor of Germany, addressed to August Dietz Sr. in Richmond, Virginia, USA, written in back ink, shows a Deutsches Reich postage stamp with the profile of Hindenburg, a black ink stamp dated 30 January 1934, a black ink Reichsluftschutzbund (National Air Raid Protection League) stamp, the reverse shows “Heil Hitler!” written in black ink, measures 14.85 cm (w) x 10.55 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
2. A postcard commemorating Martin Luther, addressed to August Dietz Sr. in Richmond, Virginia, USA, written in back ink, shows a Deutsches Reich postage stamp, a black ink stamp dated 10 November 1933, the reverse shows “Herzlichen gruß aus Deutschland!” (“Warm regards from Germany!” written in black ink, measures 14.8 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
3. A postcard commemorating Goethe, addressed to August Dietz Sr. in Richmond, Virginia, USA, written in back ink, shows a black ink stamp dated 13 March 1933 from Meiningen, the reverse shows a handwritten message in black ink, measures 14.8 cm (w) x 10.4 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
4. A blank postcard, twice stamped with a black ink stamp from Frankfurt (Main), dated 28 July 1939, no written message or address, measures 14.6 cm (w) x 10.4 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
