Germany, Third Reich. An Honour Cross Of The World War 1914/1918, With Award Document To Hermann Goldschmidt, C. 1936

(Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918). An iron cross paty constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse centre bears the dates “1914 1918” encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, two upwards facing crossed swords lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and marked “W”, with loop for suspension on a red, black and white striped ribbon, measuring 37.81 mm (w) x 42.26 mm (h), very fine.

An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 Award Document, on cream-coloured paper, awarded to Hermann Goldschmidt in Hamburg on 5 May 1936. The document is numbered “Nr. 121036 / 36”, stamped and signed. Presenting one folding crease, with slight creasing at edges and minimal discolouration. Measuring 211 mm (w) x 149 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
