1. (Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur) An Officer’s Cross of the Legion of Honour, instituted 1802, in silver gilt and enamels, five-armed white-enameled cross with ball finials, obverse centre with the head of Marianne within a green enamelled oak and laurel wreath, reverse with crossed French flags and central medallion inscribed “Honneur et Patrie,” mounted with officer’s rosette on ribbon, with enamel intact.
2. (Médaille Militaire) Military Medal, instituted 1852, in silver and enamels, obverse with head of Marianne, reverse with crossed flags and motto “Valeur et Discipline,” green and yellow ribbon, small enamel damage on reverse.
3. (Médaille commémorative de la guerre 1870-1871) Franco-Prussian War Commemorative Medal, 1870-1871, in bronze, obverse with helmeted effigy of the Republic, reverse inscribed “Aux Défenseurs de la Patrie 1870-1871,” suspended from original green ribbon with black stripes.
4. (Ordre des Palmes académiques) Order of Academic Palms , Officer’s Grade with diamonds, instituted 1808, in silver and enamels, oval wreath of laurel and palm leaves set with stones, purple-enamel ribbon bow, intact. 10mm x 22mm.
5. (Nichan Iftikhar) Tunisian Order of the Nishan al-Iftikhar , Knight’s Cross, instituted 1835, in silver and enamels, multi-rayed star with central medallion inscribed in Arabic, reverse plain, red and yellow ribbon, enamel intact, with hallmark on ring.
6. (Орден Святой Анны) Imperial Russia. Order of St. Anne, 3rd Class Civil version, circa late 19th century, in gold and enamels, cross pattée with red enamels, central medallion depicting Saint Anne within a white enamel ring inscribed, ribbon red with yellow borders, 14mm x 23mm, with partial hallmark on ring, enamel intact.
A rare and desirable mounted group combining French, Tunisian, and Imperial Russian awards, ribbons sewn together but without pin for wear on reverse. 56mm x 44mm. Condition ranging from fine to very excellent.
