In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Eesti Punase Risti teenetemaerk). Instituted in 1920. In frosted silver with red enamels, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 34.5 mm (h) inclusive of its ring suspension, intact enamels, exhibiting streaking and spotting in the silvering finish, without ribbon, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Estonian Red Cross was established by the Estonian Red Cross Society in 1920. In 1936, it was adopted by the Estonian Parliament in the Decorations Act, which recognized it as a national award. It was later suspended during the Soviet occupation, but it was renewed in 1994 following the restoration of Estonian independence. It is conferred upon individuals for humanitarian service in the fields of public health and social services, as well as for personal devotion to saving lives. It may also be awarded posthumously. From 1920-1925, this Order was awarded in a single grade (as presented here), the reverse inscribed "EESTI PUNANE RIST" (Estonian Red Cross), and from 1925-1936, it was awarded in five grades. It was expanded again when it was declared a national award in 1936 with the addition of three medals. It is presently awarded in six grades.
