In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
In silver, engraver marked "H. SALOMON" on the obverse, measuring 31 mm in diameter, dark patina, edge nicks, light contact, original ribbon with safety pin attachment, very fine.
Footnote: When North Korean communist forces attacked South Korea on June 25, 1950, Denmark agreed to provide assistance to the United Nations Command and to give humanitarian support to the allied forces in South Korea. The decision was not uncomplicated: the mood between the superpowers were extremely tense, and Denmark had to find a way to support the UN without being aggressive. Almost instantly, medical supplies were made available, and after negotiations Denmark also agreed to send the hospital ship MS Jutlandia. The medal was established on January 17, 1956 by King Frederik IX, for service on the hospital ship Jutlandia. QualificationIssued to those serving on the Jutlandia between 1951 and 1953. It was awarded to both men and women on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who could also recommend foreigners for the award. Approximately 480 medals were issued.
