Czechoslovakia. A Second World War Partisan Badge Group.

(Partyzánský odznak) Partisan Badge, Second World War period, comprising a silvered Partisan Badge depicting an armed partisan before a five-pointed star and mountainous landscape, inscribed “PARTYZÁN”, complete with its vertical pinback, accompanied by its matching lapel pin with vertical stick pin, a ribbon bar on a red ribbon with narrow yellow stripes, and housed in its original fitted presentation case, the badge measuring 49.6 mm x 49.6 mm, the lapel pin measuring 22.7 mm x 22.6 mm, the ribbon bar measuring 36.4 mm x 9.4 mm, and the case measuring 85.5 mm x 111.3 mm, in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: The Partisan Badge (Partyzánský odznak) was instituted by Czechoslovakia after the Second World War to recognize members of the partisan resistance who fought against German occupation between 1939 and 1945. Worn by veterans of organized resistance formations operating within occupied Czechoslovakia and in cooperation with Allied forces, the badge commemorated participation in sabotage, intelligence gathering, and armed combat during the liberation of the country. The design, featuring an armed partisan advancing before a five-pointed star, became an enduring symbol of the Czechoslovak resistance movement. Complete cased groups retaining the full-size badge, matching lapel pin, and ribbon bar are considerably scarcer than individual badges.
