In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Buckle with a two-piece construction in silvered bronze, unmarked, right side illustrating two linden leaves with the Czech coat-of-arms to the left and a belt loop to the right, left side illustrating two linden leaves with a belt loop to the left and a slotted tab to the right, when the tab is hooked around the clip on the reverse of the coat-of-arms, it secures the belt at the waistline, the buckle measuring 50 mm x 89 mm when the two pieces are linked together. Brocade dress belt in olive green embroidery with three rows of fine gold-coloured bullion wire dashes on the upper, with a thick dark brown leather underside, the belt with two silvered metal sliders and measuring 42 mm x 900 mm. Scattered silvering wear evident on the buckle, light soiling present on the upper, border stitching has separated from the body of the belt in numerous locations forcing the leather underside away from brocade upper. Fair.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
