Germany, Heer. Four Sets of Musician Swallow’s Nests

 (Heer Schwalbennester). Three matching sets of Heer Signals musician swallow’s nests, each constructed of lemon-yellow wool with a field-grey wool underlay, bearing nine silver aluminum wire tresses arranged vertically, with an additional tresse of identical construction, both tresses executed according to late-Reichswehr and early-Wehrmacht (c. 1930) regulations, the reverse of each featuring five magnetic metal hooks for uniform attachment, unmarked and measuring approximately 23.5 cm (w) x 10 cm (h), demonstrating moderate soiling and minor material fatigue, in overall better than very fine condition.
