In Bronze gilt, a round medal featuring the right facing portrait of Karl I, the reverse bears the inscription SIGNUM LAUDIS encircled in a wreath, surmounted by dual crowns, measures 30.6mm (w) x 45.8mm (h), marked BRONZE on rim, worn on military ribbon bearing crossed sword device, in extremely fine condition.
Contained in original case of issue, red leatherette exterior marked BRONZENE MILITAR Verdienst medaille on the lid, interior with a silk lid maker marked G.A.SCHEID WIEN, with black velvet medalbed, measures 59.7mm (w) x 111.5 mm (h), medalbed demonstrates a gap between the velvet and the edge, clasp functional, light wear to edges, in very fine condition.
