A group of Imperial Austrian badges and medals, including an 1873 War Service Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a date fo “2. DECEMBER 1873” inside of a laurel and oak wreath, unmarked, measuring 36.15 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
A Franz Joseph I 50th Jubilee Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “SIGNUM MEMORIAE” (“SIGN OF REMEMBRANCE”) within a laurel and oak wreath topped by dates “1848-1898” in Roman numerals, the ribbon maker marked “W. SCHWAAB, WIEN”, measuring 34.35 mm in diameter, weighing 25.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
A Franz Joseph I 60th Jubilee Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I, the reverse with dates of “1848-1908”, with laurel branches through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 36.22 mm (w) x 41.36 mm (h), weighing 28.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
A Bravery Medal in Bronze, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Charles I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “FORTITUDINI” (“BRAVERY”) inside of a laurel wreath and above crossed standards, the obverse maker marked “KAUTSCH”, measuring 31.47 mm in diameter, weighing 17.7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
