A lot of four Imperial Austrian medals and decorations, with two ribbon bars, consisting of:
1. A Military Merit Cross (Militärverdienstkreuz). III. Class with Swords, constructed of .800 silver and manufactured in Vienna, Austria (marked “A” and “3” with a Diana’s head), suspended from a correct period-original tri-fold ribbon bearing crossed swords, measuring 30.7 mm (w) x 30.7 mm (l), weighing 16.23 grams.
2. A Bravery Medal (Tapferkeitsmedaille). Type IV (1914-1916). A circular silver medal bearing the rightward facing effigy of Kaiser Franz Joseph, the reverse inscribed “Der Tapferkeit” (For Bravery), on a broad fixed “tunnel” loop and swivel ring for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, measuring 31.5 mm in diameter, weighing 19.89 grams.
3. A Military Long Service Decoration (Militärdienstzeichen). 2nd Issue (1867-1890). A gilded bronze Cross Pattée with a separately crowned double-headed eagle applied to the obverse, the reverse plain, suspended from a period-original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.2 mm (w) x 35.0 mm (l), weighing 15.29 grams.
4. A World War I Commemorative Medal (Magyar Háborús Emlékérem). A circular medal constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with a Hungarian Coat of Arms decorated with the Hungarian Holy Crown over a pair of crossed swords, the reverse with a leftward-facing steel helmet, dated “1914-1918”, and inscribed “ God and Country” in Hungarian capitalized letters, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, measuring 37.0 mm in diameter, weighing 17.15 grams.
4. A medal ribbon bar with nine ribbons, five with swords, mounted onto a magnetic metal core, with a functional horizontal pinback, measuring 135 mm (w) x 18 mm (l).
Condition ranging from fine to very fine.
