A lot of Austro-Hungarian Imperial medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of:
1. A Bravery Medal, II Class, Type IV (1914-1916). A round silver medal, with a pierced barrel and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon featuring a single repetition clasp, the obverse with the rightward facing effigy of Franz Joseph, circumscribed “Franz Joseph I.V.G.G Kaiser v Oesterreich, the bottom marked “Tautenhayn”, the reverse inscribed “Der Tapferkeit” (For Bravery) within a laurel wreath with banners at the base, unmarked, measuring 31.0 mm in diameter, weighing 17.77 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
2. A Bravery Medal, I Class, Karl I variant (1917-1918), consisting of a round medal constructed of silver, with a pierced ball suspension and a swivel ring for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing effigy of Karl I circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse inscribed “Fortitudini” (Fortitude) within a laurel wreath with banners at the base, unmarked, measuring 40.2 mm in diameter, weighing 20.08 grams, in very fine condition.
3. A Military Merit Cross, III Class, Second Period (1914-1918). A Military Merit Cross III Class with War Decoration and Swords, of multi-piece construction, in silver with red and white enamels, on a fixed ring and swivel loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon with gilded crossed swords, consisting of a Cross Pattée with red and white enameled arms, with gilded laurel leaves in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion inscribed with “Verdienst” (Merit), the reverse with white enameled arms and a white enameled center medallion, marked “V.M” for manufacture by Vincent Mayers und Sohn, Wien, and Austrian hallmarked with a Diana's head (Dianakopf) (which was used between 1872 and 1922), measuring 30.0 mm (l) x 30.5 mm (l), weighing 16.93 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
4. Military Long Service Decoration III. Class for Officers for 25 Years, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from a period original ribbon, a bronze Cross Pattée with dimpled edges, the obverse with a double-headed double-crowned silver eagle bearing the Austro-Hungarian crest on its chest, unmarked, measuring 35.9.0 mm (w) x 35.8 mm (l), weighing 16.83 grams with its ribbon, in very fine condition.
