Description

A Second War Medal Bar, swing mounted with horizontal pin, measures 170 mm (w), comprising:

A 1939-45 Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal; War Medal; Territorial Efficiency Service Medal, rim engraved A/Q.M.S. J.J. EVERED R.C.A.M.C. (N.P.) with bar on ribbon. All medals in very fine condition.

Footnote: Evered became a sergeant in 1931, and was promoted to R.Q.M.S. in 1938. He enlisted for the Second War on September 5, 1939. He served in the UK beginning in 1940. He was awarded the Territorial Efficiency Medal on August 15, 1942, and the clasp on February 10, 1945. Evered returned to Canada on June 14, 1944 and was officially struck off strength on July 18, 1945.
