British War Medal, in silver, full size, rim impressed 784193 2. CPL. W.W. BOOTHBY. C.E., notable edge marks and scratches, accompanied by a section of the original ribbon, in very fine condition.
A First War Victory Medal, bronze gilt, full size, rim impressed 784193 2. CPL. W.W. BOOTHBY. C.E., light wear, minor gilt loss, worn on original ribbon, in better than very fine condition.
Footnote: Walter William Boothby was born on December 4, 1892 in Kent, England. He was employed as a machinist in Dundas, Ontario and had served 4 years with the 77th regiment when he enlisted on February 1, 1916. He contracted and suffered from Scabies and Venereal Disease from late 1918 until mid 1919. He was discharged on April 18, 1919.
