Bulgaria, Kingdom. An Order Of Military Merit, VI Class Cross in Case

(Орден за Военна Заслуга). Instituted 19 May 1900. An Order of Military Merit, VI Class Cross, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, consisting of an Pisan Cross, the obverse medallion featuring the monogram of the founder Knyaz Ferdinand I, circumscribed by an inscription of “ЗА ВОЕННА ЗАСЛУГА” (“FOR MILITARY MERIT”), the reverse with a central medallion featuring a lion circumscribed by a raised dates of “2 AUGUST 1891”, unmarked, measuring 45.3 mm (w) x 49.8 mm (h), light wear to finish, in near extremely fine condition. 

Contained in original case of issue, a red leatherette exterior inscribed with the name and class of the award in golden coloured ink, the interior of the lid lined with off-white cotton material, with an intact elongated exterior metal hinge, intact interior hinge cover, recessed black velvet medal bed, and functional exterior metal clasp closure on the base, very fine.
