Austrian volunteer officer's mobilized during the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 frequently wore French-influenced shoulder epaulettes for formal dress uniforms such as senior officer's within the field Chaplaincy, civil guard units, military court personnel, field surgeons as well as others within the Imperial and Royal Army under the 1854 Adjustment Regulations, this set features toned silver embroidered branding, with a single red albeit faded thread line running lengthwise, with felt red bordering and padded underside, measuring 18 cm (l) x 12 cm (w) x 7 cm (d), worn example, remains very fine.
