All medals in this collection range from very fine to extremely fine condition.
Footnote:
The Pakistan Medal was established by King George VI in 1949 as a commemorative medal. The medal commemorates service during the period just before and after the creation of the independent Dominion of Pakistan on 14 August 1947.
The 1965 War Service Medal was awarded in recognition of general service during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War.
The Birth Centenary Medal of Quaid-E-Azam was instituted to mark the centenary of the birth of the ‘قائد اعظم’ (Quaid-e-Azam = Great Leader), Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948), founder and first leader of the independent state of Pakistan whose extraordinary life and achievements make him one of the great figures of the 20th Century
The Ten Year Long Service Medal was awarded to members of the armed forces in recognition of ten years service
The Hijri Medal was awarded to commemorate the completion of the fourteenth century of the Hijri era on November 22, 1979.
The 1956 Republic Commemorative Medal was instituted on 16 March 1956 by the President of Pakistan to mark the transition of Pakistan to a Republic on 23 March 1956. A good example. Condition II.
The 1971 War Service Medal was awarded for general service in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
The Democracy Medal was instituted in 1988 to commemorate the return to democratic government following the death of General Zia-ul-Haq in an airplane crash and the election of Benazir Bhutto as Prime Minister.
