Description

(金凧勲章 / (Kinshi kunsho). Instituted February 12, 1890. In silver with red, purple, yellow, blue, and white enamels, the badge depicting a golden kite above crossed ancient shields with two crossed spears and banners, on original striped green ribbon, measures 45.8 mm (w) x 49.6 mm (w), rivets on reverse, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.

Accompanied by a small boutonniere.

Contained in the original hardshell case, black lacquer, purple silk and velvet interior, measures 62 mm (w) x 104 mm (h) x 30 mm (d), wear to velvet interior including medal base and across hinge, several contact marks to the exterior edges, near very fine condition.
