Germany, Third Reich. An NSRKB Standard Bearer’s Gorget, Special Issue for 50 Years

(Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund Ringkragen für Fahnenträger). Constructed of a silvered aluminum, alloy, the obverse bearing an enameled Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (National Socialist Reich Warriors League/NSRKB) insignia, topped by a number “50” and situated within an oval oak leaf wreath flanked by standard flags, with a gilded rosette stud affixed to the top corners, the reverse retaining a fully-intact black wool liner, with a clip and loop accommodating a gilded aluminum neck chain featuring links bearing alternating swastikas and Crosses Pattée, unmarked with the exception of a stamped number “1” visible on the reverse clip, unmarked, measuring 16.5 cm (w) x 11 cm (h), a scarce example issued to a standard bearer who has rendered distinguished service to the most notable of German veterans associations, in extremely fine condition.
