In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Kriegsmarine feldgraues Schiffchen für Mannschaften der Küstenartillerie). An extremely well-preserved Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery overseas cap, constructed of field-grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls with a subtle downward slope toward the front. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered golden-yellow Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the centre also features an insignia in the form of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered tricolour cockade, measuring 40 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). A multi-piece slate-grey rayon liner fuller encompasses the interior, and is stamped with the logo of Société Chapelière Parisienne, indicating manufacture by a firm associated with a consortium of Paris-based hatmakers, along with a size mark of “58”, and a handwritten owner’s name of “KRÖGER”. The cap measures approximately 28.5 cm (w) x 12 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating only minor to the base material consistent with age and field wear, this untouched, French-made cap remains in an extremely fine condition.
