A British War Medal, in silver, full size, rim impressed LIEUT. P.T. SEIBERT, dark patina, light contact marks, in very fine condition.
A First War Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, full size, rim impressed LIEUT. P.T. SIEBERT, light wear and contact marks, very fine.
Three 160th Infantry Division Buttons, in brass, with loop on the reverse, each measures 20 mm in diameter, one bears oxidation on the face, ranging from near very fine to very fine condition.
A For Services Rendered Badge, in silver, reverse bears single pin, numbered 421567, measures 33.1 mm (w) x 33.1 mm (h), dark patina, very fine.
A For Services Rendered Badge, in silver and blue enamels, reverse marked C16028, measures 33.0 mm (w) x 37.6 mm (including integral suspension), enamel damage evident, remains very fine.
The original Certificate Issued with War Service Badge issued to Siebert, P.T. of the 44th Battalion, awarded for his service in France, measures 128 mm (w) x 83 mm (h),
Accompanied by “Heroes in Waiting The 160th Bruce Battalion in the Great War” by Allan Bartley, hardcover edition, interior page inscribed “Happy Fiftieth Birthday Peter! Best Wishes, Allan Bartley”, a 208 page history of the battalion, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Percy T. Siebert was born in Chippewa Hill on March 23, 1894. He attended the University of Toronto for practical sciences before enlisting for the war on January 22, 1916 in Southampton. He served as a lieutenant in the 160th Bruce Battalion, A Company, and also served with the 44th Battalion. In August 1918, he was wounded, resulting in the amputation of his left leg. Following the war, he was employed as a statistician in Toronto.
