(Орден за гражданска заслуга). Instituted on August 2nd, 1891 by Prince Ferdinand I. Type II (1908-1944). In frosted silver, an arrow cross with white enamel arms and oak leaf branches in each quadrants, the obverse center presenting the monogram of the founder Knyaz Ferdinand I on a red enameled background, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed ЗА граждански ЗАСЛУГА (For Civil Merit), reverse centre presenting the crowned Bulgarian Lion on red enameled background, with surround presenting the orders institution date, measuring 47.6 mm (w) x 74.41 mm (l), enamels intact, original trifold ribbon, very fine condition.
Accompanied by a presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, with a red faux leather exterior, the exterior of the lid inscribed with the name and class of the award in golden coloured ink, the interior of the lid lined with off-white cotton material, with an intact elongated exterior metal hinge, intact interior hinge cover, recessed black felt medal bed, and functional exterior metal clasp closure, measuring 70 mm (w) x 128 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
