In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Seven-pointed gold star, the lozenge-shaped arms with white enamel panels and with gold laurel branches between the arms, on gold crescent, crossed swords and laurel spray suspension; the face with a seven-pointed white enamel star centrally with green stippled enamel panels between the arms and bearing a circular central white enamel medallion inscribed in gilt Arabic letters ‘Abdul-Aziz al-Saud’ within a gold-edged green enamel ring; the reverse plain gold; height including suspension 91.95mm (3.62 inches), width 56.43 mm (2.22 inches); lacking ribbon (green with yellow side stripes and, for the 3rd class, a matching central rosette).
The Order was instituted: 20 March 1971 by King Faisal ibn Abdulaziz to be awarded for meritorious service while in government office, for extraordinary deeds of bravery, and for other deeds of service to the state.
Admission to the Order is to the fourth class and promotion may only be given after five years unless the holder has a ministerial position or equivalent or has performed exemplary deeds of service to Saudi Arabia.
The number of annual appointments in the third class, excluding the armed forces, is limited to eighty and the Order is in consequence quite rare.
