Japan, Manchukuo Empire. An Order of the Auspicious Clouds, II. Class Commander Badge

 (幸先の良い雲の秩). Instituted on March 1st, 1934. (1934-1945 Issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of an impressive four-pointed yellow and white enameled Ray Cross in gilded silver, with blue enameled Chinese Thunder Clouds on a black enameled background in each quadrant, obverse centre also in silver gilt exhibiting a yellow enameled centre encircled by a translucent red enameled ring, featuring a plain reverse also in silver gilt, suspended by an Imperial orchid crest with yellow enameled petals, featuring Japanese characters on the reverse standing for “Order of Merit Decoration”, with a slightly mismatched modern replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 62.2 mm (w) x 65.5 mm (l), weighing 75.19 grams, with light and shallow chips to the central red enameled ring, along with faint hairline cracking to the white enamels of the top arm, in near very fine condition.
