Steel, with a flared edge, painted khaki brown on both the exterior and the interior, metal navy anchor insignia in dark brown affixed to the front via a cotter pin on the inside, two bolts with cotter pins affixed to the sides towards the rear of the helmet on the inside, metal rings positioned at 2, 6 and 10 o'clock designed to house the full-length khaki cotton strap, interior with a leather liner incorporating three tabs, two with olive green cotton tie-downs, each of the tabs designed with a cotton pocket that houses an additional pad to protect the user's head, measuring 230 mm in width x 260 mm in length x 160 mm in height, the steel edge exhibiting chipping in the paint and traces of surface rust, light crazing evident on the khaki brown paint on the interior, the leather liner with extensive soiling and wear, in addition to being independent of the body of the helmet.
