An Order of the Sacred Treasure, VI Class, in silver, four-point star in white enamel with sixteen ruby red cabochons, obverse centre shows a silver flower superimposed on blue enamel, reverse inscription, on original striped ribbon, 37.3 mm, extremely fine condition. Housed in original case, very fine condition.
Footnote: The Order of the Sacred Treasure was instituted on 4 January 1888 by Emperor Meiji. This Order was established in recognition of long, faithful civil or military service, or for meritorious civil or military service.
2. An Order of the Rising Sun, silver neck badge with white enamel and a dark red cabochon centrepiece, inclusive of flower suspension 71.5 mm (h) x 45.9 mm (w), extremely fine condition. Housed in original case, very fine condition.
Footnote: The Order was instituted on 4 October 1875 by Emperor Meiji. The Order of the Rising Sun is awarded to people who have rendered distinguished service to the state in various fields except military service.
