1. An Order of the Rising Sun, VI. Class Breast Badge. Instituted October 4th, 1875. Constructed of silver with white enamels in the shape of an eight-pointed star with cleft endings, with clusters of three intermediate rays, the obverse centre exhibiting a beautiful glass cabochon in red colour, the reverse presenting a double-sided design, suspended by a green and violet enamel imperial symbol of the Paulownia flowers, with Japanese lettering on the reverse standing for “Order of Merit Decoration'', with its period original ribbon featuring a clasp on the reverse, measuring 45.6 mm (w) x 47.5 mm (l), weighing 34.97 grams.
Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core with a glossy black bakelite exterior, the exterior embossed with the name and class of the award in Japanese characters, with a functional exterior hinge, no interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal clasp, measuring 63 mm (w) x 130 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
2. A Cased Order of the Rising Sun, VIII. Class Breast Badge. Instituted October 4th, 1875. Constructed of silver, consisting of eleven Paulownia flowers with three large leaves at the base, the obverse and reverse sides identical in appearance, on a horizontally pierced ball and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon featuring a hook and loop for secure mounting to a uniform, measuring 30.7 mm (w) x 32.2 mm (l), weighing 16.22 grams.
Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core with a glossy black bakelite exterior, the exterior embossed with the name and class of the award in Japanese characters, with a functional exterior hinge, without interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal clasp, measuring 60 mm (w) x 93 mm (l), with chipping evident on the case, in very fine condition.

Constructed of silver, consisting of a eight-pointed star with ball finals, on a horizontally pierced ball and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon featuring a hook and loop for secure mounting to a uniform, measuring 37.0 mm (w) x 41.2 mm (l), weighing 17.12 grams.
