1)An Order of King Solomon: In gilt bronze, 67.4 mm (h) x 42.7 mm (w), on multi-striped ribbon, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Imperial Order of Solomon was an order of knighthood of the Ethiopian Empire founded in 1874
2)An Order of the Star of Ethiopia: In gilt bronze, 67.3 mm (h) x 51.7 mm (w), on multi-striped ribbon, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Star was established by Emperor Menelik II in 1884, prior to his coronation in 1889. It was the most widely awarded of the Imperial Ethiopian orders prior to the collapse of the Empire in 1974. It is currently awarded by the Crown Council of Ethiopia. It was conferred upon Ethiopian and foreign civilian and military officials in recognition of meritorious service. It was often the decoration conferred upon foreign officials and diplomats.
