An King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra Coronation Medal - Light bronze, obverse illustrating the right-facing bust of Edward VII, surrounded by the inscription "EDWARD VII CROWNED 9.AUGUST 1902", reverse with the right-facing bust of Queen Alexandra, surrounded by the inscription "ALEXANDRA QUEEN CONSORT." and inscribed "9.AUG. 1902" in a ribbon banner below, 55.5 mm, surface oxidation evident on the Queen's jaw on the reverse, near extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, cypher of King Edward VII, dated "1902" and marked "CORONATION MEDAL" on the lid, recessed medal bed, wear and scuffing evident on the exterior, case fine.
