A Soldbuch to the 14th Signals Battalion; 3 Wounds - Otto Nitsch Soldbuch: 24 pages total with 1 missing, in worn condition. Footnote: Nitsch was born in October 1916 in Ballenstedt. Before the war he worked as a mechanic, upon enlisting he was described as being 174 cm tall, stocky build with blond hair and blue eyes. These personal details were reviewed and stamped on July 31st, 1939 by an Oberleutnant of the 14th Signals Battalion. On October 1st, 1939 promoted to Oberfunker. On January 1st, 1940 he was promoted to Gefreiter. On October 1st, 1940 he was promoted to Obergefreiter. August 1st, 1942 he was made an Unteroffizier. He was wounded three times in 1943 and once in 1944. By the end of the War he surrendered to American forces in France.
