A First War Medal Trio to Lieutenant Rayner; Canadian Field Artillery - 1914-15 Star (42063 GNR: R.W. RAYNER. CAN:FD:ART:); British War Medal (LIEUT. R.W. RAYNER.); and Victory Medal (LIEUT. R.W. RAYNER.). Naming is officially impressed. Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, original ribbons, semi-dark patina on the BWM, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine.   Footnote: Richard Walter Rayner was born on February 7, 1887 in Woldhonshaw (sic), Essex, England. He signed his Attestation Paper (42063) on September 24, 1914, at Valcartier Camp, at the age of 27, naming his next-of-kin as Henry Rayner of Montreal, Quebec, stating that he had previous service with the 44th Lincoln and Welland Regiment, that he was not married and his trade is illegible on his paper, but may be "Worker". Lieutenant (Gunner) Richard Walter Rayner survived the war.
