A First War Group to the 15th Canadian; KIA by Enemy Artillery

A First War Group to the 15th Canadian; KIA by Enemy Artillery -  1914-15 Star, (47891 PTE H. MARSH. 15/CAN:INF:); War and Victory Medals, (47891 L. CPL. H. MARSH. 15-CAN. INF.), Naming is impressed, toned, near extremely fine. Footnote:  Howard Marsh was born on 25th December 1892 in Richmond Hill, Ontario and he joined the CEF on 29th May 1915. During the week of September 9th, 1916, the 15 battalion held the front and support lines outside La-Boisselle. At this time, enemy shelling was persistant causing casualties throughout the week. This is very likely where Marsh was wounded. He died of these wounds on 9th September 1916. He is buried at Puchevillers British Cemetery, Somme, France.
