A 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Alcosa - Aquired locally, this dagger exhibits aluminum hilt fittings are well detailed, as is the the embellished pommel, crossguard and quillon sufaces are finely detailed. An ivory coloured solid celluloid grip is shows only a few hairline cracks and is withour chips. Ten rows of twisted silver bullion wrap on the grip. The blade exhibits strong cross graining, and grades near extremely as it shows signs of minimal contact. The Luftwaffe blue leather buffer pad has unfortunately been lost over time. Blade has the etched maker mark of Alcosa Solingen. The scabbard exhibits moderate surface wear, with zero dents and a deep toning. The scabbard throat is retained by two side mounted screws. This dagger grades at better than very fine.
