Description
1. A Merchant’s Assistant’s Trades certificate belonging to Miss Lieselotte Augustin, certifying that she has completed her Merchant’s Assistant Trade, including all in-class training, practicum, and all subsequent testing. The certificate certifies that she was born on January 30th, 1923 in Dresden, and she completed her training between April 1st, 1938 and September 30th, 1940 at Petzold & Aulhorn Inc. in Dresden. The certificate is contained in a cloth-bound booklet, measuring 160 mm (w) x 114 mm (l).
2. A Reich Labour Service Membership certificate, belonging to Kurt Köge, born on 20.05.1913 in Roggendorf. He served in Gau 15 between April 1st, 1935 and September 30th, 1935. According to the membership certificate, he was a painter by trade and completed his 6 months of service. The certificate bears a picture of Kurt, as well as the signature of his local command, as well as a partial Reich Labour Service stamp. The certificate is constructed of cardstock, and is folded in half, measuring 104 mm (w) x 148 mm (l).
3. A temporary German descent certificate, valid until August 31st, 1943, belonging to Walter Beck, born on April 15th, 1916, and living at 2-8 Erika Street in Lemberg. It bears the fingerprints of both index fingers, his signature, a portrait on the reverse, as well as the signature of the district leader and the corresponding official stamp, measuring 165 mm (w) x 108 mm (l), torn in half and held together by a piece of sticky tape.
4. A DLRG (Deutsche Lebensrettungsgesellschaft/German Life Saving Association) Lifeguard Qualifying certificate, belonging to Anneliesel Betz, born on May 18th 1913, certifying that she completed the testing to qualify as a lifeguard on March 15th, 1929 in Hamburg. It bears a photograph as well as Anneliesel’s signature. The certificate is constructed of cardstock, and is folded in half, measuring 90 mm (w) x 135 mm (l).
5. A Wehrmacht Vehicle Operating Licence belonging to Johann von Garrel, born on February 23rd, 1915 in Westerstede, and serving in the German Marine-Kommando in Italy. It certifies that he is licensed to operate a vehicle of classes 1-3 powered by a combustion engine. It bears a photograph of Johann stapled to the certificate with two staples, and includes a duplicate. The certificate is constructed of wax paper and is folded in half, measuring 99 mm (w) x 139 mm (l). The license is accompanied by the marching orders of the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine. It states that Johann von Garrel is being moved to the German Marine Commando Italy as of February 21st, 1943 to act as a commanding officer. It is written on a typewriter on a piece of standard Kriegsmarine stationary, bearing a Kriegsmarine seal and signature of this superior officer. The letter is folded in half, and measures 104 mm (w) x 148 mm (l).
6. A Gold Grade DRL Sports Badge Certificate Booklet belonging to Rudolf Schad, born on December 11th, 1888. It contains a portrait photograph of him, along with his signature and personal information. In the latter pages are the DRL regulations for membership and sports badge qualifications. Pages 12 to 14 show Rudolf’s completed qualifications for eligibility for a Gold Grade Sports Badge. The booklet measures 143 mm (w) x 222 mm (l).
A fine grouping of civilian and military service documents, all in used but overall fine to extremely fine condition.
